Traveling Korea Through Maps & Scripture
지도로 만나는 대한민국 여행 & 말씀
This semester, every classroom shares one journey. Students open a map of Korea, travel region by region, and connect what they see to the Korean language they are learning and to a short Bible reflection — so vocabulary, culture, and character grow together.
How it works
One map, four strands of learning
Every classroom follows the same journey at its own level, so siblings and friends can talk about the same places at home.
Geography — 지도 읽기
Students learn to read a map of Korea: provinces, cities, mountains, rivers, and coastlines, plus the words that describe them.
Language — 우리말 표현
Each destination introduces its own vocabulary, sentence patterns, and writing task at every level.
Culture — 문화 체험
Regional food, festivals, folk stories, and crafts turn each stop on the map into a hands-on experience.
Scripture — 말씀 연결
A short, age-appropriate Bible theme accompanies each stop, connecting the journey to values like gratitude, courage, and kindness.

Unit destinations, dates, and Bible themes are placeholders. The school office can update them in one place in the site content file.
Outcomes
What your child brings home
Concrete work families can see and celebrate at the end of the semester.
- A completed illustrated Korea travel journal, written at each student's level
- Region-by-region vocabulary students can actually use at home
- A closing family showcase of student projects at the end of the semester
A note on the Scripture strand
Our Bible reflection is short, age-appropriate, and centered on character — gratitude, courage, kindness, and caring for others. It is taught with warmth rather than pressure, and children from families of any background are fully welcome in every class.
